Zabaykalsky Krai Sees Surge in Respiratory Illnesses, ARVI Cases Double
Zabaykalsky Krai is experiencing a surge in respiratory illnesses. Influenza, ARVI, and coronavirus cases have risen sharply in the region. All COVID-19 cases reported are in the form of ARVI. The region's respiratory viruses are entirely ARVI pathogens, with rhinovirus leading at 73.6%. In week 36, ARVI cases soared to 3215, a rate of 32.7 per 10,000 population - more than double the previous week. COVID-19 cases also climbed, reaching 83 and marking a 31.3% increase from the prior period. The increase in ARVI and COVID-19 cases in Zabaykalsky Krai is a cause for concern. Health authorities are monitoring the situation closely. The head of the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor is overseeing the response to this health challenge.
