In the heart of Hannover's Südstadt district, an unexpected incident unfolded on a recent day. A package, containing an unknown powder, caused breathing and circulatory difficulties for a courier and two police officers.

The incident, which lasted for approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes, triggered a swift response from the local authorities. The regional control center was informed of the situation at around 14:45. As a precaution, the affected individuals were quickly transported to local hospitals for further treatment.

The police, upon receiving the package, transported it to the Südstadt police station and stored it in a locked office. Recognising the potential danger, they later handed it over to the police for further analysis, sealing it in a container. The specific location of the sealed container is now under the control of the police.

Wearing chemical protective suits, the Fire Department Hannover's response teams, comprising twenty-one firefighters and emergency services personnel, were called into action. They carried the package outside and conducted multiple substance tests. The fire department command escalated the alarm and requested specialized hazardous materials response teams from Fire Station 3 to aid in the operation.

As of now, the exact substance could not be identified, and the police are conducting further analysis to determine its nature. The search results do not contain the name of the fire department specialist involved in the investigation of the suspected toxic package in Hanover.
