St. Anna's House in Altendorf Celebrates Three Decades of Existence

In the heart of Essen, Germany, the St. Anna House nursing home recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. This institution, run by the Nikolaus Groß Foundation, has been a beacon of high-quality care for the elderly, earning a top rating of 1.0 from the Medical Service.

Originally founded in 1925 as an old people's home of the St. Anna parish, St. Anna House has evolved over the decades into a modern home with a reputation for excellence. It is part of the strong Essen health location, which includes the Franziskus Hospital, the University Hospital Essen, the Evangelical Hospital Essen, and now, St. Anna House.

The facility provides both stationary and short-term/respite care, ensuring that residents receive the care they need, whether they require long-term assistance or a temporary stay. At St. Anna House, residents live in community with professional care, a balance of warmth, dignity, and joy that sets it apart.

Mayor Thomas Kufen described St. Anna House as a lively place to live in community with professional care. He went on to call it a sanctuary for the elderly when independent living is no longer possible. The mayor expressed his respect and special recognition for the caregivers at St. Anna House, praising their dedication and commitment to their residents.

On the occasion of the anniversary, the mayor wished good luck to St. Anna House and hoped that it would remain operational for the next 30 years. He also expressed his hope that the facility would continue to provide the same level of quality care that it has been known for.

The St. Anna House, belonging to the Stiftung der Cellitinnen zur hl. Maria in Essen, is a testament to the power of community care and professional competence. It is a place where residents can live comfortably, knowing they are in good hands. As the St. Anna House continues to serve the community, it stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when care, compassion, and quality come together.
