The Russian football team, 'Brook Boyz,' is facing a series of unexpected challenges before their upcoming match against 'Saturn' in the Russian Cup's 3rd round. On September 9, team president Dmitry Egorov revealed in his Telegram channel that 17 members of the team, including himself, have been affected by acute food poisoning symptoms. The incident occurred after dinner at a café near their found tourist base in Gelendzhik. The symptoms of the sick have evolved to include high fever. By September 10, the condition of the team members had slightly improved, but they still felt weak. As a result, the team is not consuming any food at the moment. The food poisoning disrupted the team's plans for their match, which was scheduled for September 8. Their hotel reservation was canceled, and they had to find a free tourist base and dinner instead of the one already ordered at the hotel. In response to the food poisoning, 'Brook Boyz' has requested the organizers to postpone the match. According to the Russian Football Union, if less than seven people are hospitalized, the team must play according to the rules. It is worth noting that 'Brook Boyz' won the Alma Mater Cup in Krasnodar on September 7, but their celebrations were cut short by the food poisoning incident. In other news, former Krasnodar forward Fedor Smolov, who now plays for Moscow's 'Brook Boyz,' is currently involved in a criminal case following a fight. Despite these challenges, the match between 'Brook Boyz' and 'Saturn' is still scheduled for September 11. The origin of the virus that affected the 'Brook Boyz' team before their Russian Cup match remains unknown.
