Schiefbahn Duo Unveils Dementia Guide at 6th Schiefbahner Gespräch
Schiefbahn native Celine Cont (29) and Prof. Dr. med. Lars Wojtecki are set to present their collaborative work during an upcoming book tour. The tour includes a special event at the 6th Schiefbahner Gespräch, giving locals a chance to learn about their practical guide on dementia.
Cont, who studied psychology at Southern Utah University and Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, specializing in neuropsychology, has long been interested in dementia and the human brain. This interest was sparked during her psychology course at St. Bernhard Gymnasium in Schiefbahn and further influenced by her grandfather's Parkinson's diagnosis.
The book, titled 'Expert Knowledge on Dementia - Latest Medications and Technologies / Becoming Self-Active', published on September 3, 2025, by Trias Verlag, combines current scientific knowledge with practical tips. It covers various forms of dementia, effective therapies, nutrition, exercise, caregiver tips, and digital health apps. Cont and Wojtecki have not been documented to have collaborated with any other publishers before this work.
The book tour, including the Schiefbahner Gespräch event, offers an opportunity for the public to engage with Cont and Wojtecki's expertise. Their work aims to empower readers with the latest information on dementia care and management.
