Rules for Contest Participation
Are you ready to enter the latest General Prize Promotion? Here's a rundown of the common rules and guidelines for these exciting events, based on the official promotion rules from May 2025.
To participate, follow the entry process specified in the Promotion's rules. Remember, entrants must be 18 or over, UK residents, and based in the UK. Excluded Individuals, such as employees, agencies, freelancers, contractors, and others associated with the Promotion, are not eligible to enter.
Your entry or participation in a Promotion and/or prize is at your own risk. If the Promotion or prize requires physical activity, entrants must ensure they are in good health and inform us of any relevant medical or health and safety information.
All holidays must comply with lawful instructions and terms and conditions set by various parties involved in the Promotion and/or the prize. Holidays must be taken within 12 months of the end date of the Promotion, and holiday prizes are subject to availability. Winners' guests/travel companions must also meet the eligibility criteria.
Winners will be selected at random or by an independent judge or panel of judges. In the event of any dispute, our and any judges' decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners must provide proof of ID, age, and address, and accept the Promotion Terms and Conditions.
Prizes will be sent within 28 days of us receiving all the required information, subject to certain conditions. Cash prizes must be claimed within a specified deadline, or they will be forfeited. Cash prizes will be processed through a prize fulfilment system, and winners will need to input their personal details to receive their prize.
In the event of a prize being awarded in error, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and select another winner. If a winner is found to be ineligible, we also reserve the right to withdraw the prize and select another winner.
Cash alternatives are not usually available unless specified in the Specific Rules. Winners may be required to provide valid identification, including a Social Security number for tax purposes. Any tax or other charge payable in conjunction with the prize will be the winner's sole responsibility.
Entrants grant an exclusive, worldwide license to use their entry, Submission, and/or Other Content for the purposes of the Promotion. Entrants guarantee that their entry, Submission, and/or Other Content does not violate any laws or regulations, does not contain any viruses, and that they will reimburse us for any loss, damage, or liability arising out of a breach of their guarantees.
Winners' names, images, social media handles, and profiles may be published and publicized for publicity and PR purposes. Winners will be responsible for all ancillary expenses in relation to the prize which aren't expressly included.
Entrants may opt-out of marketing for same or similar Global Promotions, or opt-in to additional marketing from us or our Promotion Partners when they enter a Promotion. Winners may be required to take part in reasonable publicity, and must keep any confidential information related to the Promotion confidential.
We reserve the right to disqualify entrants who breach the Promotion Terms and Conditions, cheat, deceive, or engage in fraudulent or unsporting conduct. Multiple entries, bulk entries, automated entries, and group entries are prohibited.
Holidays are not available to persons under the age of 18 unless otherwise stated in the Specific Rules. Save for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, we (and the Promotion Partners and any prize providers) shall have no liability to entrants and anyone else for any claims, costs, losses, including indirect loss, damage or harm of any kind arising from or in connection with the Promotions and prizes and your use or enjoyment of them.

Personal data provided by entrants will be collected and processed by us, our licensees, Promotion Partners, prize providers, and service providers to administer and fulfill the Promotion. Third-party terms and conditions may apply to certain parts of a prize.

In all correspondence, please state the name of the Promotion and the name of the radio station (or other media platform) which promoted it.
If a holiday prize is cancelled or rescheduled, the winner will be offered tickets to the rescheduled event if practical, or an alternative prize. If circumstances beyond our control make it difficult or impossible to provide the prize as described, we may vary or swap the prize for a suitable alternative of equivalent value.
Entrants' personal data may be transferred and processed outside of the EEA and UK for the purposes of administering the Promotion. Holiday prizes must be taken on the dates specified by us. Winners may not win more than one prize per Promotion, and we reserve the right to withhold or reclaim any second or subsequent prize.
Podcast presenters may showcase discussions on various topics, including science, health-and-wellness, and mental health, as part of a sponsorship with general prize promotions adhering to the outlined guidelines. For entry, entrants must disclose any relevant medical conditions and provide consent to use their personal data for promotion purposes, under the updated General Prize Promotion Terms and Conditions from May 2025.
