In a bizarre turn of events, a man in Moscow, aged 27, decided to go maskless while shopping on Pokryshkin Street on November 4. This defiance of safety measures landed him in hot water with the law.
Store staff, growing concerned about the maskless man, made a call to the authorities from the TROParevo-Nikulino district. Upon arrival, the police politely asked the man to accompany them, which led to an aggressive outburst.
The fuming man verbally threatened a junior lieutenant and, in an unexpected turn, bit the officer's finger. To add insult to injury, he even kicked a police car.
The offender is now facing charges for resisting law enforcement, as reported by mk.ru.
Meanwhile, monitoring groups in East Kazakhstan are ensuring that the region strictly adheres to safety rules prescribed by the region's chief sanitary doctor. Between October 1 and November 3, no stone was left unturned, with a staggering 9421 facilities inspected.
Of the total inspections, 426 fines were issued for violations, according to the akimat. The team confirmed that fines were given to individuals for not wearing masks, an important reminder that the mask regime is compulsory whenever residents leave their homes.
In East Kazakhstan, over the same period, 242 people were fined for not wearing masks, with Ust-Kamenogorsk being the hotspot, housing 31 of those fined. Among these, 16 people were caught not wearing masks in public areas, and 15 were fined for disregarding mask regulations in various facilities, like stores.
On the other hand, only one individual was fined in Semey for similar reasons.
