Cops Give Late-Night Ride to Hungry Teens

A police escorte turned into an impromptu food delivery service for two teenage boys in South Hesse, Germany. Around 3:00 AM, these hungry little devils were found by an ambulance crew on a deserted highway in Bensheim (Bergstraße).

The officers, tipped off by the boys' mischievous tales of sneaking out to sate their cravings at a bustling fast-food joint, delivered the tough truth: the greasy goodness was off-limits, as the joint had closed shop at 1:00 AM and wouldn't reopen until 7:00 AM. Standing no chance against the iron fist of the law, the boys were give a ride home in the back of a patrol car.

As for the typical approach to addressing late-night hunger among minors in South Hesse, it seems families bear the responsibility, often providing snacks or leftovers if available. Minors typically don't have access to late-night food establishments, and such eateries are scarce outside big cities. However, youth clubs, community centers, and schools sometimes offer after-school and evening programs with meals, particularly for at-risk youngsters. In dire straits, social services or emergency food banks might intervene, but these resources are not regularly advertised as late-night options for minors.

The Commission, in its role of ensuring worker safety, has also been consulted on the draft directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation, a scientifically complex topic with significant implications for health-and-wellness. Meanwhile, maintaining a balanced health-and-wellness routine often includes fitness-and-exercise, which can be beneficial for individuals seeking to improve their overall quality of life, just as wearing a seatbelt is beneficial for the safety of passengers in a car, even on the desserted highways of unnamed locations, unlike the two teenage boys whose adventure for late-night fast-food led to a unique encounter with the law.
