According to the Robert Koch Institute and our snooping around the states, we're looking at over 78,000 now, baby! Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) might've mentioned something around 60,000 earlier, so that means we're closin' in on almost 0.1% of the population gettin' their shots!
But what's really wild is that approximately 37,000 new peeps got vaxxed in the last day! So, let's hear it for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern! They're rippin' it with the highest vaxx rate at almost 0.5%! Lower Saxony, on the other hand, seems to be bringin' up the rear with a much smaller percentage. But now, folks, remember, it ain't exactly clear if they're just moves slow or if the reporting ain't exactly smooth sailin'.
The Robert Koch Institute data also shows that around 37,000 nursing home residents are gettin' protected, along with almost 21,000 folks due to their age and close to 33,000 folks due to their jobs. Medical reasons account for around 2,600 folks gettin' their shot. And guess what? Plenty of peeps have more than one reason for gettin' vaxxed! So, shout-out to these multi-taskers!
The number of people who got vaxxed in the last few months as part of clinical trials ain't included yet, but the first injections have started rollin' out in Saxony-Anhalt, and the whole vaxx party's on across Europe! However, according to the manufacturers, immunity doesn't fully kick in until after the second dose, so no party hats just yet!
