A young mother in Khabarovsk Krai faced a series of unexpected complications during labor. Initially, her condition was suspected to be preeclampsia, but further examination revealed a more severe issue.

The patient was diagnosed with pneumonia during her stay at the Ventsovsky Maternity Home. However, the situation took a critical turn when doctors discovered that she had also developed thromboembolism of small branches and was diagnosed with acute aortic dissection. This severe complication is a rare but life-threatening condition that can occur in cardiothoracic surgery.

The patient's condition continued to deteriorate, with sharp drops in oxygen levels, impaired consciousness, and increased pain in her leg. The baby's life was saved thanks to an emergency C-section, but the mother's condition required complex surgery, leading to her transfer to the Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery.

Doctors from the Ventsovsky Maternity Home, Voino-Yasenetsky Hospital, Sergei Hospital, and the Federal Cardio Center joined forces to perform a unique life-saving operation. The operation was led by Dr. Ivanov and Dr. Petrova from Sergei Hospital.

The situation was further complicated by a sudden change in the baby's heart rate, indicating hypoxia. Despite the challenges, the team of doctors managed to successfully complete the operation, saving the mother's life.

The diagnosis of thromboembolism, pneumonia, and acute aortic dissection were made during further examination at Sergei Hospital and Voino-Yasenetsky Hospital. The patient's condition continued to improve, and she was eventually discharged from the hospital, reuniting with her healthy baby.

The mother and baby's current health improvement was reported, and the operation was featured by the 'Khabarovsk Krai Today' news agency. The community is relieved and grateful for the successful outcome of this complex case, highlighting the dedication and expertise of the medical professionals involved.
