Launches transportation platform speaking Cantonese and Mandarin by SilverRide in the U.S.
SilverRide Expands Reach in California with Ninth Deployment in San Gabriel Valley
SilverRide Inc., a company renowned for providing culturally and linguistically responsive transportation services, has marked a significant expansion in California with the launch of its ninth deployment in the San Gabriel Valley region.
The latest deployment, which commenced earlier this year, operates in partnership with Seen Health. This partnership is an addition to SilverRide's existing collaborations in the Greater Los Angeles area, including one with the Brandman Center (Jewish Family Services).
The service, provided using trained, linguistically matched drivers, offers a level of cultural and communication responsiveness that remains rare in U.S. transit models. In the San Gabriel Valley region, the service caters specifically to the significant Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking community, connecting Cantonese-speaking seniors to Seen Health's day center and external care appointments.
San Gabriel, a city within the region, is home to approximately 60% of residents who identify as Asian. The San Gabriel Valley region, including cities like San Gabriel, Monterey Park, and Alhambra, is one of the state's most significant Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking communities.
While the PACE deployment in the San Gabriel Valley region does not offer any new transportation services beyond those already mentioned, it does not specify any unique services or features beyond the culturally and linguistically responsive services. It also does not currently have a specific connection to the Orange County Transportation Authority or Santa Clarita, which were mentioned in earlier bullet points.
In addition to the San Gabriel Valley deployment, SilverRide is set to launch an English-Spanish bilingual MyPlace PACE deployment imminently in the Greater Los Angeles area. The company's mission to provide assisted mobility in communities across the country continues with these latest developments.
The deployment in San Francisco, which brought SilverRide's total number of deployments in the Greater Los Angeles area to eight, marks a significant milestone for the company, signifying its continued growth and commitment to serving diverse communities.
