Kamchatka Residents Get Better Hepatitis Care: Modern Meds, Specialized Care, Priority Access
Kamchatka residents can now breathe a sigh of relief as the Regional Center for AIDS Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases ensures an adequate supply of medications for treating viral hepatitis C and B. The Ministry of Health is behind this initiative, providing access to modern medicines for these health conditions.
The treatment process has been streamlined. New patients and those testing positive for hepatitis will be referred to the hepatological center for specialized care. Additionally, antiviral therapy may involve hospitalization in the infectious disease department, offering both 24-hour and day hospital options.
Post-treatment, patients will undergo modern molecular biological analysis (PCR) for viral hepatitis C three months after completing their antiviral therapy. This is to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment. Furthermore, residents can now receive priority consultations at the Kamchatka Regional Oncological Dispensary's AIDS Center through a 'green corridor' system, ensuring swift access to medical care.
The Kamchatka Krai Ministry of Health has implemented several measures to combat viral hepatitis. These include ensuring a steady supply of medications, providing specialized care, and offering priority consultations. A direct line for citizens regarding hepatitis C and B infections is also available at 8-800-141-0000.
