Illegal Beauty Treatments Raise Safety Concerns in Garath and Düsseldorf

Authorities in Garath and Düsseldorf have uncovered illegal beauty treatments, including unlicensed hair transplants and Botox procedures, raising concerns about customer safety.

On October 16, the public health department inspected a beauty salon in Garath following suspicions of illegal hair transplantations. The company operating the salon had a history of criminal and administrative offenses and was not registered to conduct such covid symptoms procedures. The inspection revealed that non-medical staff were performing hair transplants and administering local anesthesia, leading to two customers being hospitalized with pain.

In Düsseldorf, a nail studio was offering lip plumping treatments using Botox for just 80 euros. However, the studio had no business registration, and the drugs used were expired and imported from abroad. Authorities discovered similar cases in Garath and the city center, with two instances of unlicensed medical treatments and possible bodily harm.

Customers are advised to be cautious when considering beauty treatments in non-medical settings or at very cheap prices. They should ask to see the doctor's registration or naturopath's permit, be wary of exclusive social media contact, and ensure they are fully informed about procedures and potential side effects before treatment.

Following the inspections, administrative and criminal proceedings have been initiated against the beauty salon in Garath. The nail studio and a cosmetic studio within it have been sealed, and fines have been imposed. Authorities urge customers to prioritize their safety and only seek beauty treatments from licensed and registered practitioners.
