Bicyclist meets with a grievous head accident
In the early hours of Monday morning, a tragic incident occurred in the Laagberg area of Wolfsburg. At around 4:35 a.m., a 56-year-old woman was involved in a traffic accident on Breslauer Straße, near Laagbergstraße.
The woman was riding her bike on the sidewalk at the time of the accident and did not have a bicycle helmet on. As a result, she sustained severe head injuries. Bystanders, who were quick to respond, alerted the emergency services and provided first aid to the woman before the ambulance arrived.
The police station investigating the traffic accident is the Wolfsburg Police (Polizei Wolfsburg). The woman involved in the accident is a resident of Wolfsburg and was taken to the Wolfsburg clinic following the accident.
The location of the accident, near a gas station, has caused some concern among local residents, who are calling for increased safety measures in the area. The police have released a press statement regarding the incident, urging cyclists to adhere to traffic rules and wear appropriate safety gear.
