Approximately 700 individuals to be trained in emergency first aid assistance.

In the nation's capital, trainings for coaches in providing first aid are currently underway as part of an initiative to improve medical support for athletes. The training, headed by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports in collaboration with the city's Sports Medical Center, targets approximately 700 coaches from sports schools and complexes in Astana.

The aim of the training is to instill clear action guidelines for coaches to handle emergency situations that could arise during training and competitions. Participants will learn how to address injuries, fractures, and bleeding, and also practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Azaimat Nurmatov, director of the capital's Sports Medical Center, emphasized that this knowledge is vital for timely first aid before the arrival of emergency services and medical professionals.

Beginning on May 14, over 140 coaches from various schools have successfully completed the training and received certificates. Training groups consist of 20-25 people, with around 60 individuals trained daily. The course is scheduled to continue until the end of June this year.

Within a single day, 85 coaches and staff from children's and youth sports schools completed the training. The practical sessions were conducted at the Aspan sports complex.

First aid training for coaches often encompasses learning basic life-saving techniques such as CPR, bleeding control, and management of common injuries. The training duration can vary, typically ranging from a few hours to several days, depending on the breadth of instruction and local regulations.

Science plays a crucial role in the health-and-wellness sector, with fitness-and-exercise and therapies-and-treatments benefiting immensely from enhanced medical support. As part of this, first aid training for coaches is essential in equipping them with the skills to administer prompt health care in emergency situations.
