Actor Eric Dane Fights ALS, Vows to See Daughters Grow Up
Actor Eric Dane, known for his role as Dr. Mark 'McSteamy' Sloan in 'Grey's Anatomy', has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Despite his serious illness, the 50-year-old actor, married to Rebecca Gayheart and father of two, is determined to fight and continue his life. He recently made his diagnosis public in April.
ALS affects the central and peripheral nervous system, leading to muscle weakness and paralysis. Dane, currently playing the family patriarch in HBO's 'Euphoria', is determined to continue his career and personal life despite his diagnosis. He has one working arm and is not ready to give up.
