Activities Advocated by Children's Protection Foundation: Evening Strolls, Morning Walks, and Shaving Rituals
On May 30 to June 1, Sevkabel Port in St. Petersburg will host the (Un)Childlike Festival. This event brings together a variety of charitable foundations, social organizations, and artistic groups aimed at supporting children's well-being in the city. The organizers want to shed light on projects dedicated to creating a happy and fulfilling life for every child, while discussing the non-childlike hurdles they may face.
Participants include dedicated organizations like "Mentors for Children" and "Detskaya Missiya", as well as Upsala Circus, "Simple Things" workshops, and the "Normal Place" cluster. Throughout the event, visitors can join lectures, workshops, outdoor training sessions, enjoy a carnival-like circus show, buy merchandise, and contribute to the cause by supporting these inspiring foundations and projects.
"In conjunction with our charitable partners, we aim to demonstrate that children can face adult challenges and educate people on how they can aid in such cases. Vera's Stroll Crusade
From June 1 to 15, the "Vera" charity fund kicks off its "Walk with Vera" campaign. The goal is to raise 3 million rubles to provide 30 portable aspirators for children suffering from severe illnesses, enabling them to leave their homes. These essential devices help clear mucus from the respiratory tract, preventing suffocation and giving children a chance to go for a walk or venture out of their rooms.
By donating to the fund through their website and following up with a walk in solidarity, participants can show their support for this vital initiative. The "Vera" fund explains, "A simple walk made possible by the right equipment is not just a step onto the street, but an entrance into a new world that is much more interesting and important to any child than the coziest room, let alone a hospital ward or hospice." On Children's Day, June 1, the N. A. Nekrasov Library in Moscow will hold a charity event in support of the children's hospice "Dom s mayakom". Esteemed actors Daraya Melnikova, Eva Milgram, Denis Vlasenko, Nikita Sanaev, and Aleksander Mizev will share childhood memories of five renowned Russian writers—Aleksandr Pushkin, Ivan Turgenev, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Nadezhda Teffi, and Zinaida Gippius. Beearded Benevolence
A week before Children's Day, the "Life as a Miracle" foundation launched the "Beard for a Toddler" campaign. Men with beards are collecting 1 million rubles for an NGO by June 1 to assist children suffering from liver diseases. Participants create pages on the initiative's website to rally friends and family to donate in support of these children. If the collective goal of 1 million is met, all participants will shave their beards on June 1 in solidarity with the campaign.
Adults' Evening Matinee
On June 2, the "Give Life" foundation is hosting the "Evening Matinee for Adults" at the "Mask" theater. The concert promises a magical evening of beloved children's songs performed by celebrated artists like Diana Arbenina, Mark Tishman, Rinat Mukhametov, and others. Funds raised from ticket sales will help children with oncological and hematological diseases.
The event's organizer, Taissia Vilkova, explains, "We will gather to sing songs that we loved when we were young. We will remember how nice it is to be happy about simple things. And that we should dream big and always start changing the world with ourselves. It will be fun, a little sad, cozy, loud, and together."
Challenge for Children and Teens
The Likee social network and various charities like "Arithmetic of Goodness", "Line of Life", "Country for Children", and the public organization "Much Good" have combined forces to launch a challenge and campaign dedicated to the safety and support of children and adolescents. Throughout the campaign, experts, representatives of NGOs, and popular authors will discuss topics related to childhood, sharing real stories of helping foster families, debunking myths about orphanage issues in Russia, and more. By joining the #DayOfChildren2025 challenge, users can share their personal experiences or words of encouragement for those in need.

Ozon Care and BertToys Action
In collaboration with BertToys, Ozon Care has launched a joint action for Children's Day, lasting until June 30.
